- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2023So admittedly I could not stop reading, even though I was tired of the conversation between Lee and his attached friend. But it was nice to see his thoughts and what led to him being the way he was. Part 2 was interesting but felt a little rushed. I'm sad for Lee. Not a big fan of Frankies, but we'll see what happens in the next one.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2021First couple of pages lead me to believe we would be picking up where the last one left off after the trial.
It was literally page after page of a boy as he became a man having a conversation with his "telepathic penis". The writing would be as if a young girl growing to woman was writing a diary, masquerading in an acceptable masculine slant. Sad to say it took a quarter of the book to realize it was his penis he was dialoging with and not a friend ( which really didn't make sense for the young age at which it started).
I suppose the author decided to implement this method of writing in order to recount the past without reiterating what was previously written about the past in previous books.
It failed to grab this reader's attention. Sad to say I spent too many hours reading in hopes it would very better before giving up two thirds of the way through.
A positive is that the editing was well done.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2021To be honest I didn't like the format of this story with Lee's childhood. Almost like a diary.. I couldn't get into it until Lee and Frankie were in that house together... Can't wait to see how this ends for everybody..
- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2021Okay, I have to admit that I enjoyed The Adulterer's Confession that took the novel approach of being written with dialogue only and no narration, but with almost the entirety of this book being conversations between Lee and his penis, Anthony has definitely jumped the shark!
And there wasn't much consistency in the personification of Lee's penis. Sometimes it could see well enough to form an opinion on how hot a girl was or how big her breasts were, then at other times it claimed "I can't see; I'm only a penis."
- Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2021Macabre and silly, Lee deserved a better ending. Not interested in Frankie enough to continue. Pretty disappointing ending to what began as an interesting take on adultery
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2022I suffered through 30% of this book before giving it up. How much can one stand to read about a guy talking to his penis? And worse yet the penis talks back.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Adulterer ‘s Temptation
The saga continues with more twists of the unsuspecting. Once you start reading, it’s hard to put the book down. Another great book by Sam Anthony.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lee, Lee, Lee …
I never thought I’d be reading a book based around the conversations a man has with his… private parts … yet here I am!
Lee is gross, in real life he would revolt me, so it’s a testament to the author that I can’t stop reading these books!
Looking forward to finding out what happens next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adultery has consequences …..
What starts as an office flirtation leading to full adultery soon turns far darker as the bodies mount up. Very well constructed and keeps you locked in to find what happens next to the poor guy. OK it’s his own fault to start with, but he did not bargain for the consequences.
Since this I’ve read the subsequent books which continue the story and altogether make a good case for never betraying your wife!

1.0 out of 5 stars What was that??
Delete, delete, delete, this is ridiculous. Anthony's followers deserved more than this.
